I really might be the only one out there, but I really do not like the idea of Jason and Carly romantically involved. I really like them as friends more than together.

Their scene together was GREAT but I only saw 2 friends who deeply love each other…as friends.

I have a feeling the show is going the romantic route. If Jason is shown to have his priorities in order & isn’t just all about Carly-pleasing like he was right before he “died” & just like his twin ended up doing AND they don’t act like they never actually truly loved anyone else…I’ll give them a go.

If he is still part of the mob…I don’t think Carly, Sam or Liz should be romantically involved with him.

No you are not the only one. I really like their friendship but I just don’t like them romantically involved. I am afraid they may be going in that direction.

Carly always loved jason and not just a friend if jason had accepted her as a lover back then and there was no robin in the picture , carly and jason would be together ,there would be no sonny in carlys orbit .

And we all saw that when carly/jason thought sonny was dead although in the beginning was a marriage arrangement it soon became very real because all those feelings came back.

I am also on the BFF train. I’ve watched Carly and Jason since about 2002. I missed them as lovers the first time around. I’ve always loved their friendship. Initially when they decided to marry, I thought it made sense from a business standpoint. Then when they acted like they had always had an undying love for each other, it made me scratch my head. They have amazing chemistry, but I’m not sold on them as a couple. I’m open to changing my mind.

I have loved Jarly from the beginning. Every time they have gotten close to where they are now, something has happened
( usually Sonny) so I am loving this. Where it goes, I don’t know but Friday’s show was everything I could have asked. It’s taken decades and I realize not everyone knows their the history, but this fan is on cloud nine.

I really thought I preferred them as BFFs, but once I saw the depth of the love for each other again on Friday’s episode, I am more than willing to let this romance get going. I think, for me, it is their true friendship that actually might make them a long term thing, as well as a soap super couple (cue Luke and Laura).

Nope you’re not the only one. I hated when the writers ruined that history and wrote them as being a romantic couple.

I know we have some new writers and I would really love it if they kept Carly the way she has been since Jason died, you know humbled and not in everyone’s business being all snarky. She only acted that way because Jason enabled her bad behavior. Fingers crossed things will be different this time, but I’m not holding my breath.

I agree. I think that they have deep love for each other, but they aren’t in love with each other. Jason is just Carly’s ‘person.’

You are not alone. I do not want to see Carly and Jason romantic together. I couldn’t stand the way they wrote them getting married and professing their undying love and how they only ever wanted to be with each other and no one else. It’s like Sonny and Sam meant nothing to them and they wished it never happened. I felt it was a huge rewrite of history watching how that played out. I love Jason and Carly as BFFs, that’s what I want to see more of.

They have such a deep true love I cannot imagine them being together romantically. If Sonny was never in Carly life it would have happened sooner. Jason and Carly’s wedding was beautiful. I hated that Sonny returned and ruined everything.

Not to my knowledge, I have never understood how Jason’s one night stand with Britt became a love affair. Britt realized realized thier love for one another when Jason was shot and she had to transfuse Carly’s blood into Jason to save him. It was such powerful scene because these two would die for each other. Jason and Carly have a long and complicated history. The first time was ready to commit to Carly was ruined by Carly seeing Liz and Jason together, her and Sonny had sex and Jason saw them afterwards. Carly had marry to Sonny to avoid testifying against him. It was about this time when became Carly’s person. They have loved each other unconditionally even when they were with other people. He put Carly above both Liz and Sam and they both have acknowledged that Jason didn’t do anything he didn’t want to. The Jarly are outnumbered to say the least but I would like to see them at least have a shot, now that they both are free. I totally expect Drew to step aside. He has Jason’s memories , so he knows what he’s up against. I love Sam with Dante and Liz with Finn. They both are in stable and loving relationships which is good for the children.

For me Jason and Britt had a ton of chemistry together between the two actors. And at that time, Britt was kind of bringing out a different, softer side of Jason. They even had that one conversation about whether or not he chose the right life of being a hitman. Britt made him rethink a lot of things he did in his life and how he got to that point. So, that was enough for me to consider them a great couple!
