BIOGRAPHY
Markella Kavenagh began a flourishing career as a model, before launching into comedy. In January 2018, the young woman played Cindi, the half-sister of the hero ( Toby Wallace ) of Romper Stomper , a series about an anti-Islamic far-right group which follows the eponymous film (1992). After this first regular role, Australian audiences discovered her the same year in Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Cry .
Murdered in the supernatural thriller The Gloaming , Markella Kavenagh changes register with The Promise of a Summer , a film about a teenager who experiences her first emotions with another girl with a fiery temperament. The actress’s talent attracted the attention of the production of Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which hired her to lend her features to the young Hobbit Elanor “Nori” Piévelu. This series, inspired by the successful literary saga of JRR Tolkien , is launched at the start of the 2022 school year on Amazon’s Prime Video platform and allows it to become known internationally.
