Has anyone seen the pic of Mylie Cyrus posing topless in Vanity Fair? IMO this is terrible. What about all these little girls who adore her. Walmart is full of Hannah clothes for little girls and she is in there face everywhere. We already have had their teen idol Jamie Spears get pregnant while doing a kids show and now this. Who can these little girls look up to? Have the parents of these kids learned nothing watching what has happened to Brittany Spears. I really THOUGHT Billy Ray would keep Miley on a good path, at least till she was an adult. Instead he is condoning this. She is just too young for this. Why do they let them at grown up too soon? JMO.

Reil…I dunno. Vanity Fair has been around for many many years! To my knowledge this magazine shoots their own covers. They would be opening up an invite to a HUGE law suit if they were fake pictures.

This is so sad! Billy Ray has been living vicariously through his daughters career, and has been VERY protective of her. But at the same time I just can’t imagine him allowing his teen daughter to do this. IF he did…BAD BAD move on his part!

yeah Breeze…well Itried to find the pictures on-line since i don’t get the mag so I really need to see it first…If it is true my 9yr. old daughter will not be watching her show anymore. I am trying real hard to keep her innocent as a 9 year old should be and she will be told that if that is true about Miley, then she is no one to look to for a moral life. We teach our children right from wrong and about God, Jesus, Mother Mary…so we don’t rely on celebrities to do this, but on that note we will not expose them to filth either…I really hope it’s not her in those pics.

It was also on one of the NBC news shows. A lot of people are upset. It is her and it is legite. In the pic they showed she doesn’t have on a shirt and is turned to the side looking back over her right shoulder. It shows her naked back and shoulders and is a very seductive photo. The pose would work in a Playboy mag. Her hair and make-up makes her look like she should be 25. It’s a beautiful photo but just not right for a teen is is supposed to be a role model. Mylie stated she considered it to be art.

It happenes all the time on the internet these days. I just can’t imagine a major magazine shooting a topless photo of a young teen. I bet Papa Cyrus will come out with guns drawn on this one! He seems to be very protective of his daughter.

Billy Ray was a one hit wonder with Achy Breaky Heart. Then he tride to record other songs and was a flop. Ya can’t take great hits of the 60’s and 70’s rock and roll and try to make them country! It’s really sad that he allowed these pictures of his daughter to hit the stands, or for that matter to be taken in the first place, when her career is just taking off.

Okay, so I googled all of this and it does sound like in the June issue of Vanity Fair there are photos of Miley taken by Annie Leibowitz. It is from the back, but obvioulsy topless. At the time she thought it was “artsy” but now seems embarrassed by the photos.

Pinetree…this is so upsetting…doesn’t miley and her management realize that most of her fan base is pre-teen and teen girls??? Why is she allowed to pose for these pictures…she is underage!! Oh well I won’t let my daughter watch the Spears girl and now Miley looks like she is out too!!

I think that the publishers of Vanity Fair ought to run the pictures through their legal department before they publish them. It could lead to a whole lot of legal problems they don’t want.

ITA with everything you said. I don’t have a daughter but I have caught a glimpse or two of the show and thought it was cute. I was glad it was there because of all this trash the other female teen stars are doing. It makes me sick to see this happen. All our young girls are going to grow up thinking they have to look sexy before they are even ten. Whoa, that sounds so bad! And like you say not at all a typical daughter/dad photo. I know that Annie Leibowitz likes to take somewhat controversial photos and it sounds like these are no exception. I just can’t see her sponsors (like Disney) being okay with this, and WTH is her mother thinking???

It is ironic, that a friend of mine and I was talking about this yesterday; the state of our teens, mainly our young girls it is sad how they seem to be demeaning themselves, I worked high school proms this month and when I tell you these kids were having se# on the dance floor, it breaks my heart, but the saddest part was the so call chaperones(teachers, principals) sat around in their own little world oblivious to the inappropiate behavior, and as an employee I couldn’t step over that line because it was their building I was just there to make sure their needs were met. We are losing our children to the world, because we have forgotten it takes a village, the day I become scared of reprimanding a child for his or her behavior is the day I have become useless to this world as an adult; it is time that we do like our ancestors, teach our children the laws of God; did I make mistakes, do things that I shouldn’t have, of course, but I never belittled myself or brought shame to my family, because I knew my mother would kill me. LOL I say that we say a prayer for all of our children and asked that they be restored in their mind and body, and know that their body is a temple. I am so sorry for this rant, but when I saw this on the news this morning it disturbed me so, because I just knew that her parents would not let her be Pimpedby the world of entertainment.
