Who Is Bobbie's Daughter BJ Jones on General Hospital?
Yesterday, Wednesday, January 10, General Hospital viewers got their first glimpse at a reporter named Angela Brighton, who showed up at Bobbie’s memorial service with news on Carly’s mom and what she had been doing before her death. The actress who is appearing in the role, Brighton Hertford, not only turned up on the ABC soap in the past but she held a very close role to Bobbie — she played her adoptive daughter, Barbara Jean “B.J.” Jones.
Seeing Hertford all grown up and involved in the storyline was a lovely way to pay tribute to not only Bobbie but to her portrayer, the late Jacklyn Zeman, who Hertford worked with in the early 1990s.
So, who was B.J. and how did she find her way into Bobbie’s life?
Bobbie’s friend Dr. Tony Jones had a daughter bearing Bobbie’s namesake, Barbara Jean. Her mom, Tony’s wife, Tania, had died in a car accident, and when Bobbie and Tony married in 1989, she accepted B.J. as her own. However, five years later, in 1994, B.J. died as a result of a school bus accident, which left Bobbie and Tony, whose marriage was on the rocks, devastated.

But did you know that B.J.’s heart still beats in Port Charles? Much like that of Katie on The Bold and the Beautiful, who had a transplant and has her brother Storm’s heart, B.J.’s went to Frisco and Felicia’s daughter Maxie, who fell seriously ill as a child and needed a transplant.
